yoga
Yoga has accompanied my life for more than two decades, with periods of intense study and practice versus periods of injuries and breaks. I have learned from each period. As someone who was a dancer for the first half of my life, I teach yoga a little like I dance. I love wide movement in practice, emphasizing the flow of the body while constantly listening to the body and its needs. As someone who has been injured, I understand the great importance of listening. In my practices there is a power and warmth of meaningful work with the body, along with breathing work and inner meditation. As with everything in life, I love the balance between yin and yang, and I also teach Vinyasa Yoga and Ashtanga Yoga classes, and in the same breath, Vinyasa Yoga from the worlds of yoga therapy and trauma-sensitive yoga.
